Statically Charged MacBook Pro

For the first time I have experienced the static change on the MacBook Pro casing and it’s weird. I got it on the palm rest area. The notebook was sitting infront of my desktop computer and I was programming away when I felt it. It was like a magnet acting against your skin!

I didn’t think much of it at first but it got annoying and tried to figure out what it was. To confirm it was static i touched the metal part of a radiator and went back to using the notebook and it was gone… but it came back.

I tried grounding myself on the metal pedals of the G25 but that didn’t work. Very strange.

I may have found a cause for the static! It may be caused by the notebook cooler which is blowing air at the notebook. It only happens when the notebook is placed in certain position.
