There is a very simple mod which makes the HD555 “sound like” the HD595. The Sennheiser HD595 are more expensive than the HD555 but they both use exactly the same hardware with only the case (and packaging) being different. It took less than 5 minutes to do and only requires a small Phillips(crosshead) and flat head screw driver. Below is a how to video that explains it all:
