Gumstix

A company makes sticks of hardware and has software to as well. It’s a really good idea. They have various boards in shape of “gum” sticks and modules can be added to them to add ethernet port, bluetooth, display, etc. I’d love to create something out of it like a small linux server with a tiny screen but I’m not technical enough to get into this sort of thing.

They do sell pre-made “computers” but they lack HDD and the power isn’t anything to be jealous about. All their hardware are created under the creative commons license.
