Rice Shortage Hits England

Food shortage claims have been going on for couple of months now but in the recent weeks there has been real fears on rice and wheat with countries like India imposing export limits and shop keeps limiting the sale per person just like Apple did with their iPhone.

Well today we had to go 2 Cash & carry to stock up so it looks like it’s hitting the UK too. Suppliers who deals with May Wah are already limiting the supply of rice to the trade by limiting purchases to the customers average. If a shop buys 1-2 bags every week they will be limited to 1-2 bags with the ability to purchase double that meaning a maximum of 4 bags and no more.

Hope I don’t have to live through the previous Thatcher years with high unemployment and the resurgence of 70-80’s fashion.
