PCIT Treasure Hunt 2006

Went a “Treasure Hunt” with work colleagues and it was really fun. We were given a wordsearch, a map, sudoku puzzle and a sheet of 64 clues. The sheet was the main one which we had to answer to get marks. The wordsearch had towns / places where we had to go and we had to pair it up with it on the map. The map told us the places we had to go to. At the places or enroute was clues inthe surrounding in permanent fixtures to aid us in answering the clues on our sheet. Some clues relate to a soduku number on the soduku puzzle. For example a question may be when did Mr & Mrs Carl fall and one of the number from the date would be the number.

We left at 17:00 whilst there was penelopy crew who started at 16:30. It took us a good 25 minutes to get all the places in the wordsearch and to find the places on the map. We then had till 21:00 to get to the pub where we would have food. There was also an emergency envelope too so if you could not get to the pub then you would have to open it to find out where it was.

I was in the car (well truck was more like it) with:

  1. Adrian (Driver)
  2. Mohan (My Manager + map person)
  3. Rajesh (Colleague)

There was around 5 groups all together.

The wordsearch and map plotting was o.k considering I hardly know the area.

So we trekked around the countrysides for about 2.5 hours trying to find the answers from these clues. They were so hard that even some of the locals had problems answering… I mean helping us with the clues.

We rushed the end lot of clues hoping to get to the pub for food at 21:00 only to see that we was the first ones there (woo hoo) except there was no points for being on time! nor was it a race. Once we got there we got a couple more clues filled in and completed the soduku sheet.

After my sirloin steak, salad and chips (which was absolutely delicious) the results were in.

We came last…

He didn’t mark the soduku puzzle! Ah well it was a really good night.
