Microsoft’s Strategy To Break Linux

After reading the post on Cnet about CEO of Mandriva’s open letter to Steve Ballmer I released something very worrying. The article mentions the difference between Linux distributions on making deals with Microsoft.

I can see Microsoft is doing this as a way of splitting the Linux community therefore using the divide and conquer approach. Already there is the ‘No’ camp which consists of Mandriva, Redhat and Canonical, which produces Ubuntu. Then there is the ‘Yes’ camp with Novell for SuSE, Turbo Linux Linspire, etc.

I just hope this isn’t going to be a set back for Linux.
