After checking I wasn’t going deaf I figured out the left speaker was louder than the right speaker from my PC. I only noticed this on Windows 10 and I have been dealing with the issue by moving the speaker balance more to the right in the Realtek Manager. This is very evident when using Chrome for things like Google Music or YouTube.
This wasn’t ideal because it shift all the speakers to the right and also the volume was a lot lower all round (Not that I crank it up to 11).
The thing that solved the issue for me was to disable the sound Enhancements. To do this go to Control Panel > Sounds and find your output devices.
Select the one having problems and press Properties button. Go to the Enhancements tab and tick Disable all sound effects. Press OK to save the settings and close the properties and sound windows.
I found I had to close Chrome and open it again before this took effect.
