Feisty Fawn

I had a little play about with the up and coming Ubuntu 7.04 “Feisty Fawn” edition. There was a lot more emphasis on desktop enhancements such as the eye candy built in, which enabled users to turn on wobbly windows with a couple of clicks. Also there was a nice improvement to the wireless gnome network manager which allows network roaming. I didn’t have much time to play with it but it only seem to allow you to roam on unprotected networks or specify a network.

The version I tried was Herd 5

I want to download and try a distro called Foresight which is a show case distribution for the Gnome Desktop. It is built using a really neat tool called rPath builder.
