AmazonWatcher

Overview

AmazonWatcher is a desktop application which is used to monitor Amazon items. It supports all localization of Amazon from US to Japan. It is available for Windows and Mac.

Basics & Functions

The program does not come in until you have found an item you want so you would still shop on Amazon like normal. When you have found an item, you copy the url of the item and paste it into the AmazonWatcher. The program can then download the details of the item and is added to the watch list.

Once the item has been added, you can set the actions which include:

Only one option above can be selected. I’d like an option where it would alert me when the item drops below a certain price as well as when it drops below a certain price.

The alert options are as follows:

These options are check boxes so zero or more alerts can be selected. The unique function of AmazonWatcher is that it can place an order of the item.

Interface

The user interface is very clean and easy to use. The toolbar at the top has big buttons with all the functions needed to operate the program.

The list of watched items are in the middle where you can see the product overview like item name, stock information, current price and the action you have set for it.

The bottom of the screen is dedicated to the selected item information where item information is displayed and where you can change the actions for the watched item.

The only problem with I have encountered so far is that the url text box for adding items is very small with a lot of blank space on the toolbar which could be used to expand it.
